The holiday season is right around the corner, as the school celebrates its Christmas program. Celebrating the occasion will feature dance presentations from different grades, as well as the tableaux of the grade 12, showing the birth of Jesus.

Though not very known why, December 25 eventually became associated with the birth of Jesus. Scholars believe that this may tie into the start of the winter solstice during roman times. It was here where the winter would end and spring and summer would set over the Roman Empire. Some believe that this was related to the birth of Jesus. As such, it eventually became widely accepted that Jesus was born on December 25.We can never forget to talk about Santa Claus when referring to Christmas, or in this case, Saint Nicholas. While not much is known  about him, he was said to be very generous. For example, he helped 3 young girls escape slavery by dropping gold coins into their rooms for 3 nights so their father could pay their dowries. The legend of Saint Nicholas is what eventually spurred the icon of Christmas known as Santa Claus.

As per usual, the program will contain mainly dance presentations from the different grades. For the finale will be the grade 12's tableaux. The school Christmas program is the precursor for the main thing on everyone's minds that day: the class Christmas parties. Nevertheless, we can expect some stellar performances for the program.
