United Nations Day is an annual observance held on October 24th to commemorate the founding of the United Nations (UN). This day marks the anniversary of the entry into force of the UN Charter in 1945. The United Nations was established with the primary goal of promoting international cooperation and maintaining peace and security among nations.

Overall, United Nations Day serves as a reminder of the importance of international cooperation in addressing global challenges and building a more peaceful and sustainable world. It encourages individuals and nations to reflect on the principles of the United Nations and their role in creating a better future for all.

To highlight the various cultures found throughout the world, students from various grade levels all dress accordingly. Through their well-received performances and attire, these students showcased parts of several cultures within the school. Throughout the event, a variety of dances and traditional songs were enjoyed, and the HCHS students radiated a happy and vibrant atmosphere. By the end, teachers had selected the best costumes for each grade level, which the children displayed in a runway-style walk. The students also introduced themselves, their grade, and the nation they were dressing to represent.
