Chinese New Year

The Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is a significant traditional Chinese holiday celebrated at the turn of the traditional lunisolar Chinese calendar. It marks the beginning of the new year according to the Chinese zodiac cycle, with each year represented by one of the twelve animals in the Chinese zodiac. The festival is a time for family reunions, feasting, and honoring ancestors. It is characterized by various customs and traditions, including dragon and lion dances, fireworks, giving red envelopes with money, and enjoying special foods like dumplings and fish. The Chinese New Year festivities typically last for 15 days, culminating in the Lantern Festival.

Months of hard rehearsals culminated in this historic occasion, which provided an opportunity to demonstrate their talents on a grand scale. As the music progressed, the artists altered, their movements becoming more graceful and their voices carrying great emotions. From stunning dance routines to emotional musical compositions, each artist had the audience transfixed. The loud acclaim that greeted each performance was a monument to the Holy Cross delegates' steadfast dedication and remarkable skills, cementing their reputation as a brilliant beacon of creative excellence in the community.
