Science Laboratory
INTRODUCTION
The researchers realized that Holy Cross High School’s science lab has (1) seen very little use at times, and (2) have facilities and materials that are either not up-to-date, and/or need replacement.
Physics Lab.
Projectile Cannon
Projectile cannons are useful for demonstrating trajectory, and how angles affect the range of a projectile.

Force Table
Force tables are very useful devices that can be used to visualize forces, vectors and their directions, and their effects.

Optics Equipment
Simple demonstrations of optics and properties of light can be made with the following equipment

Electrical Equipment
The basics of circuitry and wires can be demonstrated with the following, it is a useful start and can be used for demonstrations

Chemistry Lab.
Laboratory Stand
These are essential for any science lab that plans to conduct simple chemistry experiments that require apparatus to be arranged and set in place

Lab hotplate w/ Stirrer
A laboratory hotplate is extremely useful when it comes to doing a lot of different chemical experiments, as it allows you to control the heating and stirring without needing to be attended to.

Various Chemicals
Chemicals should be stored properly. They also need to be replaced regularly since some of them have an expiration date. New chemicals (such as various elements, salts, acids, bases, alcohol, and ethers would be helpful for experiments).

Earth Science Lab.
Different Sets
These are two products, one being a rock sample set and the other being a density set. They can be found at geology.com and enasco.com respectively. They would both give the students a good understanding of the difference between various rocks and materials.
Biology Lab.
Various Samples
At the moment, HCHS only has a limited amount of samples to look under a microscope. More samples need to be procured, and/or provide the students the ability to attach and make their own samples.
Digital Microscope
There are many, but this one is an example. With this, teachers can stream and/or picture what is seen through the microscope. That way, the students don't have to individually go and look to be able to see what is under the microscope.

General
Spring Balance
This is mostly needed in Physics, but it's weight measuring properties can be used in other fields as well.

Extension Cord
This would be useful for anything the students and/or teacher will bring that is electronic, including laptops, phones, lights, and other gadgets (like the digital microscope mentioned earlier).

Various Glass Containers
These include beakers, test tubes, condenser (and other) apparatus and their respective connectors and clips.

Digital Thermometer
This is very useful for measuring temperatures in general, and having it be digital makes for more precise measurements. (works with meats too).

Lab Stool Chairs
The lab needs upgraded chairs that are more comfortable to sit on (doesn't have to be like the picture), as well as just needing more chairs in order to accommodate bigger classes.

Suggested Floor Plan
[Note: The floor plan is subject to change depending on space limitations and where in the school it will be built. Therefore, the room could be bigger or smaller than what is shown here, in which case, adjustments have to be made]

Floor Plan Notes
The layout of the suggested lab is very similar to the current one, however one major addition is the separate room for experiments at the left side. This is a room with a fume hood, in case there are some experiments that produce toxic fumes or gases. The area could also be better temperature-controlled if needed, however that might hard to do and up to the school's decision on how to do it. The arrangement of things are ultimately up to how much of each the school has, as well as what fits where, however, this plan is meant to show how they can be divided. Lastly, the green arrow seen near the top is a door that swings outwards and can be used as an emergency exit if one can be added there.
